The staircase incorporates two 90 degree turns. This saves space and means the steps are of a comfortable height and width; there is no need for the stairs to be unusually steep in order to reach the loft in a small area.

The stairs are made from floor grade pine and conform to building regulations. A ballustrade and spindles will be added to ensure safety around the stairwell.
