![]() Plasterboards further seal and insulate the roof structure from noise and they and provide a solid surface for a plaser finish. Boards are tension screwed to the timbers to prevent movements should the boards have pressure applied to them during lof use. If boards are nailed then you get 'popping-off' or sunken nails. This is where boards is touched will retract into the gap between the timbers and spring back. This causes the plaster finish and paint to 'pop-off' as it is pushed by the plaster. If nail heads break the plasterboard surface then they tend to further damage the soft plaster causing movement and cracks to develop. In the left of the picture there is the offset spotlight positioned to maintain maximum head height. Price guideContact 0870 7575 010 Loft Conversions in Greater Manchester and Lancashire | ||
