DIY Pro-Starter
Medium Size Bedroom

This loft will become a medium-size attic bedroom.

The 'DIY Pro-Starter' is designed to provide DIYers a safe start, the critical safety aspects of a conversion and many requiring BCO inspection being professionally carried out.

Many lofts do not require architectural floor plans or planning permission unless the loft is extended - dormers. DIY starters are often built to our own scale drawings.

For habitable uses such as bedrooms then a loft must meet local Building Regulations.

Building Regulations

Building regulations govern minimum requirements for: materials, insulation, fire safety, access and escape.

When we prepare the loft and access we guarantee that our loft work will pass BCO inspection!

A key feature of this loft is the stairs, constructed in such a way as to compliment the existing stairwell. With space saving in mind, as stairs rise, they have been directed into un-utilised space within an existing bedroom, above the door to the room.

Loft dimensions are 7' at apex, 16' wide and 20' long.
