Dormer Windows

A dormer window will maximise the available head-height and living space within a loft, however the light allowed into the room will be less that from an equivalent skylight.

Skylights present the full face of the window towards the sky to let in the maximum available daylight.

Banking several VELUX® windows as a glazed or glass wall/ceiling will flood the area beneath with light.

Combination Windows

Velux have introduced the AVE combined sloping roof window and vertical elements (VFE and GGL windows).

AVE windows can bank together as a wall with sloping glass roof (the roof can slope down to 15 degrees).

This combination is ideal for high lofts with gently sloping roofs. The windows combine at eves level to provide maximum ventilation, daylight and views.

Advanced pane technology optimizes heat insulation.
